Description
Fisherman in Caithmess County, Scotland. Caithness County's 110 Lochs, 6 rivers. Bring trout and salmon fishermen to Scotland. There are no shrines, no monuments, not even a good beach, but every summer 100,000 voyagers make unholy pilgrimages to this wee seaside settlement of 400. Even the Queen Mother shows up. What draws them must be the same thing that lured Admiral Byrd to the South Pole -- the chance to get as far away as possible, for the summer. Britons can't go much farther without leaving the country, and the P.M. frowns on that.

Photo is dated 1966.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
