Compulsory x-ray for United Nations staff. Secretary-General Trygve Lie is the first of the 2900 members of the United Nations Secretariat to undergo a compulsory chest x-ray examination at Lake Success headquarters. Waiting their turn are Robert G. Jackson (center), Assistant Secretary-General in charge of coordination, and Andrew W. Cordier, executive assistant to Mr. Lie. The x-ray survey was organized by the United Nations Health Clinic in cooperation with the New York City Health Department.
