Bishop Jones places the pectoral cross around the neck of Bishop Noland saying, "In the name and behalf of the diocese of Louisiana, I, Girault McArthur (Jones), bishop in the church of God, do receive and acknowledge you, Right Reverend Father in God, Iveson Batchelor (Noland) as bishop of the same, and in token thereof place upon you this pectoral cross."
