Description
Oil production test is expected today Just 440 feet away from the west approach to the Huey P. Long bridge is the derrick of the Titanic Oil company's wildcat oil test which appears certain to be the discovery for a new oil field for the state. A production test in the Titanic Oil company's No. 1 Marrero Land and Development company wildcat in Jefferson parish, just 440 feet off the center line of the west approach to the Huey P. Long bridge is expected today. Because of the intense gas pressure, it has been decided to put a 6000-pound test Christmas tree on the drill pipe and let the flow come thorough that, rather than take a chance on a blowout by attempting to set casing in the hole.
