Description
Levee Board Helipad 'up in air' as court ponders appeal. "I sure wish we could use it. We have to make five helicopter landings directly on the levee yesterday, while we've got a nice, safe pad sitting right here," said Orleans Levee Board president Guy Lemieux. A state appeal board is now considering a lower court's ruling last June that the Levee Board's helipad near the Mississippi River Moon Walk, 350 feet upstream from the Gov. Nicholls Street Wharf, would have to come down.

Photo is dated 1975.
