As the outstanding intern at Holet Dieu completing his internship in June, Doctor Albert H. Steiner (left), 1953 graduate of Louisiana State university medical school, was awarded the first annual Doctor Abraham L. Levine memorial award in ceremonies Monday night. Shown with him is Doctor L. Sidney Charbonnet Jr., president of the hospital medical staff. The late Doctor Levine, a member of the hospital staff, was noted for his deep interest in furthering the careers of medical students and young doctors. His widow established the award.
