Description
"Don't tear my hair out!" pleads Catherine Cousins; Ann Costanza shampoos. Whether or not all is vanity, everybody likes to look nice. But not every woman has a standing appointment with her favorite hairdresser. And as for the gentlemen, well, a shave and a haircut can no longer be had for two bits. What about the folks who live in institutions such as homes for the aged? They may not be able to afford professional services, nor able to leave the home. How can the mountain come to Mohammed? That's Mohammed's problem, but hairdressers and barbers do visit institutions to provide free services. Institutional welfare work is a nationwide project of the National Cosmetologist Association, and it reaches its culmination during National Beauty Salon Week (February 13-19).

Photo is dated 1966.

Photo measures 10 x 8 inches.
