Dr. Harry J. McGaw of New Orleans has been named medical director of the new South Louisiana Medical Center in Houma. The $20 million, 240-bed state hospital is scheduled to open Sept. 1. The facility will serve an estimated 60,000 medically indigent residents of Assumption, Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes, and parts of St. James and St. Mary parishes.
