Description
Mrs. Barbara Milhet, R.N., left, sees that Mrs. Grace Hubley, a resident, gets her medicine on time at the Harvey Nursing Home. There are no bad conditions today in nursing homes for the elderly because of the upgrading of standards in the field, a West Bank nursing home nursing service director said this week. Mrs. Robbie C. Marshall, director of nursing service at Manhattan Manor Nursing Home in Harvey, said the raising of standards has been brought about as a result of the Social Security Act, the Medicare law and by more stringent federal and state regulations on licensing such facilities.

Photo is dated 1971.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
