Description
Dr. James Glenderson looks through his records to refresh his memory of the events of his career. Bulk of career has been in public health work in New Orleans. At first were scornful of him and other Naval Reserve doctors. He remembers specifically many tiffs with a terrible-tempered, red-haired surgeon "whose head was scarred all over from rocks chunked at him as a kid." This same surgeon was constantly complaining about being overworked. One day, when the redhead went on liberty Dr. Henderson decided to teach him and the other regular Navy doctors a lesson. As chief consultant, then New Orleans physician had charge of the hospital's surgery as well as medicine.

Photo is dated 1959.
