Helping the Gould Volunteer Fire Company celebrate its 90th anniversary observed recently in Gretna are members of the John McDonogh Post 3121, Veterans of Foreign Wars. The VFW members presented American flag shoulder patches to be worn by firemen and small American flags for distribution to children. From left are William Tonglet and Pete Galley, commander, both of the post; Dan W. Lanier, president and Gorer Richard, chief, both of Gould, and Floyd Breaux and Charles M.F. M'Closkey, both of the post.
