1973 Press Photo Robert E. Lee School students with Mardi Gras float creations

Standing behind their creations-Mardi Gras floats for centerpieces in the New Orleans Public School's cafeteria-are, from left, Cheryln Baker, Rosa Dennis, Joel Dominick, Sue Walker and Anitafaye Lalonde. Sixty-nine floats were made by parents and students of Robert E. Lee School and a parade of floats will be held at the school Wednesday at 2 p.m. The school band will play for the occasion and parents are invited to attend.
