William M. Gallop, the first male chief administrator of Sacred Heart Academy, stands outside the Georgian-Colonial school that was once an orange plantation. The girls' school has an enrollment of more than 600, and Gallop hopes to increase that to 660 next year. In his first year as headmaster the 36-year-old Pennsylvania-born educator has initiated several new programs, balanced the school's budget, and worked for a consortium of private schools in the New Orleans area.
