Four of the grandchildren of the late City Commissioner Fred Earhart walked out into the rain to cut the ribbon marking dedication ceremonies for the extension of Earhart Boulevard from S. Carrollton ave. to Monroe st. late Sunday afternoon. From left are City Councilman Henry B. Curtis, Miss Patia Earhart Twining, 15, 320 Warrington Drive; Elbert F. Minyard, president of the Carrollton Avenue Businessmen's Association; Ida Julienne Aubert, 12, of Abita Springs, La., and sisters Ida mae Earhart, 10, and Betty Earhart, 12, daughters of James L. Earhart, 4510 S. Johnson.
