Gathered at a convocation honoring Dr. Albert W. Dent, president of Dillard University, are (from left) Dr. F.D. Patterson, president of the United Negro College Fund; Dr. James E. Perkins, managing director of the National Tuberculosis Association; Dr. Dent, Ambassador James M. Nabrit Jr., deputy US Representative to the United Nations Security Council; Dr. T.K. Lawless, chairman of the DIllard Board of Trustees, and Mayor Victor H. Schiro. The convocation was held at the Lawless Memorial Chapel on the Dillard campus.
