Purchasing the first sheet of Finland Independence Commemorative Postage Stamps from Postmaster A. Frank Fairley (right) is John H. Dalton (left), Finnish counsul in New Orleans. Councilman Maurice E. "Moon" Landrieu, who represented the city at the ceremony, looks on. The sale took place at the main post office. The five-cent stamp went on sale here Saturday. It commemorates the 50th anniversary of Finland's independence.
