Durel Black, president of the Jazz Museum, views a painting by the late Philip Steegman that has been donated to the museum. Title of the painting is "Blues." "Blues," a painting by the late Philip Steegman, has just been donated to the Jazz Museum and is now on display in one of the windows of the Canal Street store of D. H. Holmes Company Limited in connection with the celebration of Jazz Week. The canvas, which was given by Mrs. Steegman, was done in 1933 in London, long before the British-born artist came to this city. The model was Steegman's then houseboy.

Photo is dated 1966.
