Until a few weeks ago this stretch of Airline Hwy. from the Jefferson-Orleans parish line to Labarre Rd. was a dark roadway unsafe to cross at night, especially in areas where there were no display signs on adjacent businesses. This stretch adjacent to a golf course, was the darkest.
