1938 Press Photo Expedition Photographer Murray Wiener Returns to Port Newark

Newark, NJ - Murray Weiner, photographer for the Clifford J MacGregor Arctic Meteorological Expedition which returned to Port Newark, Oct 4th, after a voyage, started on July 1st, 1937, which took to within 750 miles of the North Pole, is greeted by his three year old cousin, Joan Kozak of Brooklyn, NY, aboard the expeditions ship, the three-masted auxiliary schooner General Adolphus W Greely. Weiner is due for a shave.

Photo is dated 1938.
