1940 Press Photo Milton Reynolds Navigator for New York Round the World Flight

A Chicago businessman hopes to take off from La Guardia Field, New York Saturday in an attempt to cut in half the round the world flight record now held by Howard Hommes. He is Milton Reynolds, 54 year old ball-pen manufacturer, who will act as navigator on the trip. His Reynolds Bombshell, said to be the world's fastest private plane will be piloted by Capt William Odom, New York. A flight engineer will complete the three-man crew.
