A.J. Livingston, who in 1928 acquired considerable fame as to the man who was told by Charles Curtis that he was "too damn dumb to understand" the policy of the Republican party toward farm relief after he had interrupted the then Senator Curtis' speech, has written to John Nance Garner inviting the Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee to come to Spencer, Iowa, to answer Curtis and explain farm relief for Mr. Livingston and his neighbors.
