Madame Irene Schmeder, is shown in the arms of Gendarmes, after she had swooned on learning of her acquittal in a Paris court, on a charge of attempted murder of her lover, Pierre Lallemant. Lallemant, who was shot in the back last December, while the two were making a plane trip, asked that the charges be dropped.

Photo is dated 1937.
