Description
Redwood City, California - Miss Lydia Hopkins, wealthy resident of the ultra exclusive Woodside District, brings a few of her 46 dogs into court in a battle to keep the dogs on her premises. Court attaches tried unsuccessfully to make the "de-barked" thoroughbreds bark, as neighbors say they do. She had the dogs "de-barked" she contends, to satisfy neighbors who now are trying to have her kennels removed on grounds they are a nocturnal nuisance.

Photo is dated 1941.

Photo measures 7 x 9 inches.
