Miss Dorothy Strickler, technician at the Westinghouse Research Laboratories, converts a piece of ordinary household-type aluminum foil into a film of aluminum oxide less than a millionth of an inch in thickness. The films are used by Westinghouse scientist in the development of experimental electronic tubes.
