Viscount Halifax the British ambassador to the US presents Distngushed Service awards to the widows of two detectives killed by the bomb placed in the British pavillion at the NY World's Fair last July 4th.The presentation was made in Councilmanic Chamber at City Hall Left to right are Mrs Genevieve Socha, Lord Halifax, Newbold Morris, president of the City Council, Mrs Esther C Lynch, Grover Whalen background and Mayor Fiorello H LaGuardia
