The third annual National convention of the Holy Name Society was opened in NY Sept 17 when Cardinal Hayes celebrated a solemn pontifical mass at St Patrick's Cathedral. More than 200,000 catholics from all parts of the western hemisphere are gathered for the convention, The Most Rev stephen J Donahue auxillary Bishop of NY and his staff in the procession to the ccathedral which preceeded the mass
