Stanley Joy, Jr., a seaman recruit in the Naval Reserve, is greeted by his father, Captain Stanley A. Joy of Plainfield, N.J. as the former arrives in New York aboard the liner Queen Elizabeth July 26, Stanley Jr. is a member of the University of Pennsylvania crew which won the Henley race in England.

Photo is dated 1951.
