President Hoover is seen as he was greeted at the train by members of the American Legion when the Chief Executive arrived in Detroit on September 21st. To speak at the American Legion Convention. Left to right: Harold Lemmons, chairman of the Reception Committee; Mayor Frank Murphy of Detroit; Governor Wilbur Brucker of Michigan; President Hoover; Colonel F. M. Alger and Colonel Roberts. Name of man on extreme right is unknown.
