Description
Our picture shows one of the Roman Traffic Controllers receiving a New Year's gift of a small package containing a battle of wine, a cake, sweets, cigarettes or some other present which went to swell the pile already accumulated on the stand. The gifts were given by Roman motor drivers in appreciation and admiration for the efficiency and courtesy shown by the Traffic Controllers in carrying out their difficult work of enforcing the new regulations of prohibiting the blowing of motor horns between 12-30 and 6AM.
