Washington D.C- Admiral Arthur W.Radfrod Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is shown as he talked to newsmen at National Airport shortly before he and assistant secretary of state Walter S. Robertson boarded a plane for emergency flight to Formoda to consult with General Chiang Kai Shek. Admiral Radford warned that the Methodical determined Red Chinese Military Buildup means they plant to take Formosa by Forces if necessary. The Radford-Robertson Trip was decided on at Augusta Ga. by President Eisenhower and Secretary of State John Foster Dulles. The Plan was so high level that key officials in the State Department's China Section knew nothing of it until it was announced.
