Forerunners of mighty tank fleets soon to roll from production lines on orders totaling more than $250,000,000, "pilot models" of the Army's new medium and light tanks roared through impressive tests on the Army's proving grounds here April 4th, watched by high ranking Army officers, British Representatives and officials of the firms which will turn them out on a mass basis. Here, John Biggers, of the Office of Production Management and Major General Charles Wesson, Chief of Army Ordnance, inspect one of the new mechanical monsters.
