Lieutenant William Crawford Jr., 26 of Niles Ohio, tells the press a few highlights of his astounding flying career in the South Pacific where he was assigned to over 50 bombing missions during his 52 weeks in the war theater. While on a night patrol in the South Pacific he discovered shadowed and helped eliminate a 22 ship Japanese Convoy, in action known as the Bismarck Sea Battle, which won him nationwide fame.
