Los Angeles: Inadvertently, framed by an airplane sign reading, "The Statesman," "Nonstop to Washington," Vice-President Richard Nixon and his family pose for cameramen after stopping here for to visit his mother and father before proceeding to San Francisco for the Republican convention. Nixon commented that he did not think the Democrats stole a march on the Republicans in throwing the Vice-Presidential nomination open to their convention delegates.
