1953 Press Photo Jack Nugent Inspects the Check Processing System

Nation's largest contractor of temporary labor industry was the Nugents-American Contractors, Inc. in Chicago, Jack Nugent, Secretary-Treasurer of the company as inspects one of the more than 2,000 checks processed daily by his organization. The check processing system was devised by the leading manufacturer of check and check writing equipment, the Todd Company. Photo shows Miss Bette Segreti, Office Manager, is operating a Protectograph check writer which is the key to the payroll system.

Photo is dated 1953.
