Those spirited prima donnas at the National Horse Show, the horses of the Military Riding Teams are kept looking their best and feeling their best only throught the painsaking care of the grooms to whom they are entrusted by their riders.The foreign nations send their best riders and horses to the annual competition in Madison Square Garden, New York City. They also send the pick of their calvary privates who are drafter to take care of the horses on the voyages to the United States and back and during the show. The grooms of the Royal Netherlands Army Team are typical of the grooms of other military teams. The Dutch reputation for cleanlinessis exemplified in the manner in which the horses are kept in spic and span shape. Private Edward Schuurman of the 4th Calvary Regiment is shown as he puts the final touches tot he grooming of "Silver Star."
