1957 Press Photo Leslie Frega at the House of Vision's looking at antique frames

Description
Using hundred year old monocle, Leslie Frega studies one of the frames in House of Vision's collection of antique eyeglasses. This frame developed about 1790, was worn by Great Lakes sailor during War of 1812. It features temple made flexible enougt to reach around the head of its wearer, thus holding lenses in place.

Photo is dated 1957.
