1947 Press Photo Mary Wilsdon Saved From Carbon Monoxide by Cocker Spaniel Coco

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Chicago - Mary Wilsdon gratefully pets "Coco" her cocker spaniel in her home after the dog was responsible for the saving of three lives. A clogged furnace flue caused the Wilsdon apartment to become full of poisonous fumes, and it was only the dog's continued barking which kept Miss Wilsdon awake long enough to telephone the fire department.

Photo is dated 1947.

Photo measures 8 x 6 inches.
