Description
Shown is a Philadelphia courtroom, where Assistant District Attorney John Grimes of New York, (left), aide to Thomas E Dewey, asked $500,00 bail apiece for Dixie Davis, (center), disbarred New York attorney and reputed head of notorious New York rackets, and the latter's henchman, George Weinberg, (right). The girl is Rose Richerts, showgirl, who was captured with the pair in a fashionable Philadelphia apartment house. Trailing a pal of Davis over a 600-mile circuitous route from New York to Philadelphia, Dewey's agents, directed by Grimes, finally caught up with Davis, whom they had sought since July. Bail for Davis and Weinberg was set at $300,000 each.

Photo is dated 1938.

Photo measures 7.25 x 9 inches.
