San Francisco, California - Cyril MacKeekin points to the name "SS Fort Dearborn" stenciled on the water-soaked life jacket that he picked up on the beach near ~ascadero last Saturday (3/15), It was while the ill-fated tanker was being battered by mountainous waves that the jacket washed up on the beach. It is believed that it was lost overboard when the tanker sailed from San Francisco.
