1953 Press Photo Milwaukee Art Institute acquires six Flemish tapestries

A valuable Flemish tapestry was put in place Thursday on a wall of the Milwaukee Art institute. 772 North Jefferson Street, by Mrs. La Vera Pohl, director of the institute, and Gaar Lund, 3131 West Wells Street, a junior assistant at the institute. The tapestry, called "The Fox Hunt," is one of a set of six, titled "The Hunts of Diana." The new acquisition, given by a Milwaukeean who wants to be anonymous, is 16 by 18 feet.
