While New Yorkers submit to "drydays" and the city spends thousands of dollars to have a scientist try to make artificial rain, millions of gallons of water are forever escaping from the New York City water system, over the spillway at the Schoharie Reservoir above. This water flows into Schoharie Creek, thence to the Mohawk River and Thence to the Hudson River.
