Description
Ottowa, Canada-Photo shows Stanley Bruce, head of the Australian delegation, and one of the leaders in the priority trade plea. Four great dominions set the pace in the British Empire Economic Conference Session yesterday with demands for trade concessions from Great Britain that struck at the trade of the U.S. and other world nations. The pacemakers in the plea, Australia, South Africa, Canada and New Zealand, requested consideration for British preferential tariffs or actual arbitrary restriction of foreign imports to stimulate their own inter-empire trade.
