Description
A double salvo of rockets was fired from the flame shrouded wing pods of a Starfire interceptor as crews warmed up for the air force rocket meet beginning Monday at Yuma, Ariz. The Starfire packs two dozen rockets in its nose and another dozen in each of two wing pods. Electronic instruments enable it to track, lock on and shoot down an enemy with the pilot never seeing the enemy plane except on his radar screen. U.S. - Air Force - Planes - Fighter - Jet
