Here is the air force's Super Sabre, the F-100. The plane is the force's first operational jet fighter to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The ship is 45 feet long, 14 feet high and has a 36 foot wing span. It has a service ceiling of more than 50,000 feet and a combat radius of more than 500 miles. It is the successor to the F-86 Sabre jet, tested in the Korean fighting. Wings and tail are swept back at a 45 degree angle. United States, Air Force, planes, fighters, jets.
