David C. Jones, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is on hand for a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing that is very important to him personally June 16. It turned out well for him. The committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of President Carter's nomination of Jones for a second two-year term in his post.
