At some risk, I have to sat that Tom Tonnesen reminds me of what, in my adolescence, was considered the All-American boy. Blond. Blue eyes. Athletic. Aggressive but polite. Those thoughts seemed a little incongruous as I listened to Tonnesen explain his enthusiastic plans to widen the scope of ethnic studies in the University of Wisconsin System.
