1985 Press Photo Victims of gas leak line up to receive medication in India

Victims of the 12/3/84 gas leak from the Union Carbide Pesticide plant here line up to receive medication for various ailments at a government clinic set up in Chola, one of the areas worst affected by the disaster. A government survey, only two-thirds complete, has shown at least 15,000 people still complain of gas exposure - related symptoms, including breathlessness, coughing, overall weakness, general pain and impaired vision.
