1987 Press Photo Peggy Meyer carries torch for United Way fundraising campaign

Peggy Meyer represented the Family Service of Milwaukee social service agency as she carried a torch with simulated flames when runners representing 23 companies and agencies took turns to cover 75 miles of Milwaukee streets on the way to County Stadium Monday. The run marked the beginning of a preliminary United Way of Greater Milwaukee campaign to raise $2 million of the overall 1987 goal of more than $22 million.
