Description
A group of recent Polish immigrants who cal themselves "Pomost" protested against the current Polish regime Thursday night outside the War Memorial Center. Pomost is a Polish word meaning bridge, as between Polish people in the United States and Poland. Inside the center, there was a meeting of the Free Poland Coalition, made up of concerned local organizations. The coalition is seeking support and money. Mayor Maier, through an aide, proclaimed January as "Remembrance Month in support of the people of Poland."
