Headsets offered music to jog by as employees used treadmills. In front of each is a unit to record speed and distance. The company fitness center is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. under the supervision of a staff of four, who guide individuals in the use of treadmills, stationary bicycles, weights and other equipment. Group classes have been set up in response to employees' interests in aerobics and karate. There is one class in prenatal care, and specialists are brought in as needed for "health enhancement" classes, covering such topics as quitting smoking, stress management and diet. Employees male time for their fitness activities according to their own working patterns. The classes are held mostly outside normal working hours. Employee use of the center peaks during lunchtime.
